Design for the World '99 Tokyo Symposium
Aim:
Design for the World (abbreviated as DW) is a new international organization that creatively challenges global issues such as global environment, energy resources, aging society, advanced information environment and many others that are beyond capacity of single professional field to cope with.
By inviting board members of the Design for the World, the organizer is identifying design projects from global and interdisciplinary point of views and action plans and implementations will be discussed.
Theme: Design for the World
Ever changing world is always bearing new issues. The issues make the world as an unfinished tableau. Design has been required horizontal international coordination of various professions to bring a new vision into the tableau.
Design will demonstrate stronger creative power by the coordination beyond professional fields. Designing the world, envisaging new world vision will be a subject for the world from now on.
